1 cup sugar
4 sprigs fresh mint
1 cup concord grape juice, chilled
Juice of 8 lemons (about 3/4 cup), chilled, plus 1 lemon, thinly sliced, for serving
1/2 cup halved purple grapes, for serving

Steps:

  • Stir the sugar with the mint sprigs and 1 1/2 cups water in a saucepan over medium heat until the sugar is just dissolved. Remove from the heat and remove the mint. Let it cool.
  • To a 2-quart mason jar, add the grape juice, lemon juice and 2 cups very cold water. Add the mint sugar syrup. Put on the lid and refrigerate until cold, at least 2 hours.
