LINDA'S CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Linda's Chocolate Chip Cookies image

I use to make these all the time when I was little, in fact they were the only chocolate chip cookies I would make. They are very different as they call for no white sugar, and you must use oil and not margarine. They keep very well and to me they taste way better in an air tight container the next day. They also make a ton and are easily doubled.

Tips:

  • Use cold butter. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. This will help incorporate air into the dough, which will make the cookies lighter and chewier.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the cookies tough.
  • Chill the dough before baking. This will help the cookies hold their shape even more.
  • Bake the cookies at a high temperature for a short amount of time. This will help the cookies get crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.

Conclusion:

These chocolate chip cookies are the perfect treat for any occasion. They're easy to make, delicious, and always a hit with friends and family. So next time you're in the mood for something sweet, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed.
