AIR FRYER LOADED GREEK FRIES

Air Fryer Loaded Greek Fries image

Air-fried french fries loaded with Greek flavors. These are great on their own but also pair nicely with lamb, steak, or chicken. Cheese is a must for loaded fries but since feta doesn't melt, I incorporated it into the tzatziki sauce.

Time 50m

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 15

½ English cucumber, shredded
½ teaspoon salt
½ (16 ounce) container Greek yogurt (such as Fage®)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons freeze-dried dill
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
½ (4 ounce) package crumbled feta cheese
4 medium russet potatoes, peeled and cut into fries
2 teaspoons olive oil
2 teaspoons Greek seasoning (such as Cavender's®)
cooking spray
1 small red onion, cut into thin strips
¼ cup sliced Kalamata olives
12 grape tomatoes, halved

Steps:

  • Place shredded cucumber in a colander and sprinkle with salt. Let drain for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, assemble the rest of the tzatziki by adding yogurt, lemon juice, dill, garlic, vinegar, and feta to a small bowl. Stir until evenly combined. Stir in shredded cucumber and set aside until ready to use.
  • Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher your ingredients, the better your fries will taste. This is especially important for the vegetables, as they will lose their flavor and nutrients if they are not fresh.
  • Cut your fries evenly: This will help them cook evenly and prevent some from being overcooked while others are still raw.
  • Soak your fries in water before frying: This will help them crisp up and prevent them from becoming soggy.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: If you overcrowd the pan, the fries will not cook evenly and will become soggy.
  • Season your fries well: Use a variety of seasonings to flavor your fries, such as salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Serve your fries immediately: Fries are best served hot and crispy. If you let them sit for too long, they will become soggy and lose their flavor.

Conclusion:

Loaded Greek fries are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or side dish. They are perfect for any occasion, from casual get-togethers to formal parties. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a dish that everyone will love. So next time you are looking for a tasty and satisfying snack, give loaded Greek fries a try.
