MALTED MILK PIE
I'd buy my brother a box of malted milk balls for Christmas when we were younger. Now I give them to him in a more adult form...a Pie. Cook time is chill time. Tips:
- Use fresh ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better the malted milk pie will taste. This is especially true for the milk and eggs.
- Don't overbeat the eggs: Overbeating the eggs will make the pie tough. Just beat them until they are light and fluffy.
- Bake the pie in a water bath: This will help to prevent the pie from cracking. Place the pie plate in a larger pan filled with hot water. The water should come halfway up the sides of the pie plate.
- Let the pie cool completely before serving: This will allow the flavors to meld and the pie to set properly.
Conclusion:
Malted milk pie is a delicious and nostalgic dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its creamy, malty filling and flaky crust, it is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you are looking for a special dessert, give malted milk pie a try. You won't be disappointed.
