TEXAS FRESH PEACH COBBLER

This dessert tops juicy fruit with a biscuit-like topping. The batter goes into the dish first, then rises up through the fruit as it bakes. My family loves this and will reheat and eat through out the day.

Tips:

  • For the perfect cobbler crust, use a combination of all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. This will create a light and flaky crust that is both crispy and tender.
  • Use fresh, ripe peaches for the best flavor. If you can't find fresh peaches, you can use frozen or canned peaches, but be sure to drain them well before using.
  • To prevent the peaches from sinking to the bottom of the cobbler, toss them with a little bit of flour before adding them to the baking dish.
  • Don't overmix the cobbler batter. Overmixing will result in a tough, dense crust. Just mix until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the cobbler in a preheated oven until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. This will take about 45 minutes to an hour.
  • Let the cobbler cool for at least 15 minutes before serving. This will allow the filling to set and the flavors to meld together.

Conclusion:

Mama's Texas-Style Peach Cobbler is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its sweet and juicy peaches, flaky crust, and cinnamon-sugar topping, this cobbler is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a special treat, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
