Tips:

  • Choose the right flank steak: Look for a flank steak that is at least 1 inch thick and has good marbling. This will ensure that the steak is tender and flavorful.
  • Marinate the steak: Marinating the steak in a flavorful marinade for at least 30 minutes will help to tenderize it and add flavor. You can use a variety of marinades, such as a simple olive oil and garlic marinade, or a more complex marinade with herbs and spices.
  • Cook the steak over high heat: Flank steak is best cooked over high heat so that it can quickly sear on the outside and remain tender on the inside. You can cook the steak in a skillet on the stovetop, or on a grill.
  • Let the steak rest: After cooking, let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the steak, resulting in a more tender and juicy steak.
  • Serve with roasted endive: Roasted endive is a delicious and healthy side dish that pairs perfectly with maple glazed flank steak. To roast endive, simply toss the endive with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and then roast in a 400 degree Fahrenheit oven for 15-20 minutes.
