1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

  • Adding two parts mayonnaise instead of three or using Greek yogurt to lighten it up a bit are good variations on the original recipe.
  • Feel free to play around with the ingredients and proportions until you find a combination that you and your family like best.
  • A splash of white wine or a twist of lemon can add a bit of brightness and acidity.
  • Fresh herbs such as dill, chives, tarragon, or parsley can be added for extra flavor.
  • A sprinkle of salt and pepper to taste is always a good idea.
  • Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for later use.
