1/2 cup coarsely chopped almonds
1/4 cup white sesame seeds
1 teaspoon ground coriander

1 tablespoon whisked egg white (from 1 large egg)
3 ruby-red grapefruits
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
3 tablespoons white-wine vinegar
1/8 teaspoon ground coriander
2 tablespoons almond oil
4 tablespoons neutral oil, such as safflower or grapeseed
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper

3 avocados, peeled, pitted, and cut into 1/4-inch slices
1/2 cup lightly packed fresh herbs, such as parsley or mint, or a combination

Steps:

  • Sesame Crunch:Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine almonds, sesame seeds, coriander, sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon pepper in a bowl. Add egg white and stir to combine. Spread mixture into a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet.

Tips:

  • Choose the freshest citrus fruits you can find. Look for fruits that are heavy for their size and have smooth, unblemished skin.
  • Use a variety of citrus fruits to create a more complex flavor. Some good options include oranges, grapefruits, lemons, limes, and blood oranges.
  • If you don't have any fresh citrus fruits on hand, you can use bottled citrus juice. However, fresh citrus fruits will give your salad a much better flavor.
  • Be careful not to overdress the salad. A light vinaigrette or citrus dressing is all you need to enhance the flavors of the salad without overpowering them.
  • Serve the salad immediately after making it. This will prevent the citrus fruits from losing their flavor and becoming watery.

Conclusion:

Citrus crunch salad is a refreshing and flavorful salad that is perfect for any occasion. It is made with fresh citrus fruits, crunchy vegetables, and a light vinaigrette or citrus dressing. This salad is a great way to get your daily dose of vitamins and minerals, and it is also a delicious and satisfying meal.
