24 ounces pasta sauce
2 cups water
1 green bell pepper, Diced
1 onion, Diced
1 tablespoon butter
2 1/2 cups elbow macaroni, Uncooked
1 teaspoon italian seasoning
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 Degrees and Grease a 3 Quart Casserole Dish.
  • Melt the 1 TBSP Butter over medium heat and add the green bell pepper and onion. Cook until tender, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Pour the jar of pasta sauce, the 2 cups of water, the package of frozen meatballs, the 2 1/2 cups of uncooked macaroni, 1 TSP Italian Seasoning directly into the casserole dish. Add the onion and green pepper. Stir all ingredients until combined.
  • Bake covered for 45 minutes at 375 Degrees. Remove from oven after the 45 minutes is up and sprinkle the 2 Cups of Mozzarella and 1/4 Cup of Parmesan Cheese over the top. Place back in the oven uncovered and broil on high for around 3 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly.

Steps:

  • Cut the squash lengthwise in half; discard seeds. Place halves on a microwave-safe plate, cut side down. Microwave, uncovered, on high until tender, for 15-20 minutes. As the grandfather of six oft-hungry children, Pierre Franey sought to develop dishes that would "capture their attention." This hearty, kid-friendly casserole of meatballs, sausage, onions, peppers and mushrooms did not disappoint. It's sort of a cross between a casserole and a stew, and can be served over pasta or polenta, or with a huge hunk of bread to sop up the herb-y tomato sauce. If you'd like, you can easily substitute ground chicken, turkey, pork or veal for the beef in the meatballs (or any combination of them all). The meatballs are seasoned with Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, cumin, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper. Depending on the composition of the meatballs, you might want to try other favorite spices, too, like ginger, coriander seed or fennel.

  • Put the meat in a mixing bowl and add the bread crumbs, cheese, egg, broth, nutmeg, cumin, 1 teaspoon of the garlic, parsley, salt and pepper. Blend well and shape the mixture into 24 small meatballs.
  • Heat the oil in a large nonstick or enamelware skillet and add the meatballs. Cook, turning often, until browned on all sides, about 10 minutes. Remove the meatballs and set aside. Prick the sausages with a fork and add them to the pan. Cook, turning often, until lightly browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
  • Scatter the onions, mushrooms, green pepper and remaining 1 tablespoon garlic around the sausages, and sauté, about 5 minutes. Add the meatballs and the accumulated juices back to the pan (the pan will be crowded).
  • Add the tomatoes, rosemary, wine and bay leaf and stir to dissolve any browned particles on the bottom of the skillet. Cover closely and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove the bay leaf and sprinkle with basil when served.

Steps:

  • In 2 quart glass baking dish, mix spaghetti sauce and water until blended. Add uncooked noodles, stir-fry mixture and meatballs and stir to coat. Make sure noodles are completely covered with sauce mixture.

I was going to make spaghetti pie but I didn't have any ricotta or cottage cheese so I tweeked it and came up with this. My son and BF loved it! The measurements are approximate since I don't really use measuring cups when I cook, I just kinda eye it up. I hope you like it as much as we did!

8 ounces spaghetti
1 egg
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
25 pepperoni slices
20 precooked meatballs
1 (26 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce with meat
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried onion flakes
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain. Add egg and Parmesan cheese to spaghetti and stir to combine (I used my hands and it worked well).
  • Press spaghetti mixture into the bottom of a sprayed 8x8 glass baking dish. Cover spaghetti mixture with a layer of sliced pepperoni. Cover pepperoni with 1/2 c shredded Mozzarella cheese.
  • Cook precooked, frozen meatballs according to package directions (I just microwaved them). Cut them in half. Layer the meatball halves over the cheese mixture (number of meatballs is approximate. We used smaller meatballs so adjust to cover the whole casserole).
  • Combine spaghetti sauce, garlic powder and dehydrated onion flakes in a bowl. Spoon over meatball layer.
  • Sprinkle 1/2 c Mozzarella cheese over the spaghetti sauce mixture. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake approximately another 20 minutes or until bubbly.
  • Again, the measurements for this recipe are approximately. Please adjust to your own tastes. And I didn't have any on hand but I would've like to have added cooked green peppers to the sauce. So get creative! I'm anxious to hear what combinations everyone comes up with!

This is a wonderful change from your everyday spaghetti and meatballs, I make this with my recipe#71273 *and* recipe#69173 but of coarse you may use your own favorite meatball and pasta sauce or use two 28-ounce jars of purchased spaghetti sauce, really you can use any amount of spaghetti sauce and meatballs you desire. Prep time does not include preparing or baking the meatballs. Serve this with garlic bread on the side and a small salad if desired :)

1 lb ground beef (made into you favorite meatball recipe)
1 (16 ounce) package thin spaghetti
3 tablespoons oil
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

1 bag (16 oz) frozen cooked Italian meatballs (about 32 meatballs), thawed
1/2 cup chopped pepperoni (2 oz)
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper (1/2 medium)
1/4 cup shredded fresh basil leaves

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, beat cream cheese and pizza sauce until well blended.
  • In ungreased 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish, spread 1 cup of sauce mixture; arrange baguette slices over sauce. Spread top of baguette slices with 1 cup sauce mixture; sprinkle with 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese.
  • Stir meatballs and pepperoni into remaining sauce mixture; pour over cheese. Sprinkle with bell pepper and remaining 1 cup mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until thoroughly heated and cheese is melted. Sprinkle with basil.

1 (16 ounce) package ziti pasta, substitute penne pasta
4 cups tomato sauce
1 large egg
1 (15 ounce) container part-skim ricotta cheese
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon . fresh coarse ground black pepper
12 lean meatballs, thawed and sliced
1 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • In saucepot, prepare pasta as label directs in boiling salted water, drain. Return pasta to saucepot.
  • Meanwhile, in 3-quart saucepan, heat tomato sauce, covered, until hot over medium-low heat. (If tomato sauce is frozen, add 2 tablespoons water to saucepan to prevent sorching). Add 3 cups sauce to pasta in saucepot, toss well. Reserve remaining 1 cup sauce.
  • In medium bowl, stir together egg, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Into 3 1/2- to 4-quart shallow casserole or 13-inch by 9-inch glass baking dish, spoon half the pasta mixture, top with all the sliced meatballs. Drop ricotta-cheese mixture by spoonfuls evenly over meatball layer. Spoon remaining pasta mixture over ricotta-cheese layer, then spoon remaining 1 cup sauce over pasta. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake, uncovered, 60 minutes or until very hot and cheese browns slightly.

1 pound ground beef
¼ pound sausage
½ cup plain bread crumbs
⅓ cup evaporated milk
2 tablespoons minced onion
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of celery soup
1 cup evaporated milk
½ cup water
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon chili powder
⅓ cup shortening
⅓ cup evaporated milk
1 egg
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Mix ground beef, sausage, bread crumbs, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, onion, and 1 teaspoon chili powder together in a bowl; shape into small meatballs.
  • Cook and stir meatballs, 10 to 15 at a time, in a skillet over medium heat until slightly browned, 2 to 4 minutes. Return all meatballs to skillet, cover, and cook over low heat until meatballs are cooked through, about 10 minutes. Transfer meatballs to a 2 1/2-quart casserole dish. Pour excess grease out of skillet, reserving the browned bits of food in the skillet.
  • Combine cream of mushroom soup, cream of celery soup, 1 cup evaporated milk, and water in the skillet with browned bits of food; cook and stir until sauce is steaming but not boiling, about 5 minutes. Pour sauce over meatballs.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon chili powder in a bowl; cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly. Beat 1/3 cup evaporated milk and egg together in a separate bowl; mix into flour mixture until a sticky dough forms. Knead dough about 10 times. Roll dough into a 10x12-inch rectangle on a floured work surface. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese over dough. Starting on the long end, roll dough around cheese forming a roll; cut into 8 to 10 slices. Turn slices on their side and flatten slightly with your hand; arrange on top of sauce.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until sauce is bubbling and biscuits are lightly browned, 20 to 25 minutes.

My SO is trying to cut down on carbs and I'm not,so I wanted to come up with a recipe that both of us would enjoy.If desired, you can brown the meatballs for a better flavor.The time for browning the meatballs isn't included in the cooking time. The "ZAAR" database doesn't have the carb count for the meatballs, and the vegetable blend, so my SO and I figured the amount of carbs for 6 servings would be 13 grams for each serving. 1 pound ground beef (85 percent lean)
1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
1/2 cup finely grated pecorino
1 1/2 teaspoons coarse salt
2 large eggs
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
Pinch of red-pepper flakes
1 can (28 ounces) whole peeled tomatoes, pureed
4 leaves fresh basil (optional)
8 ounces fresh mozzarella, thinly sliced

Steps:

  • Using your hands, gently mix together pork, beef, breadcrumbs, pecorino, salt, eggs, garlic, and parsley in a large bowl. Form mixture into 2-inch balls.
  • Heat oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Add meatballs; cook, turning, until browned all over, about 10 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to transfer to a plate.
  • Reduce heat to medium. Add onion and pepper flakes; cook, stirring occasionally, until onion is tender, about 4 minutes. Add tomatoes and basil; simmer, stirring frequently, until sauce is slightly thickened, about 8 minutes. Return meatballs and any juices to pan. 1 (5.6 ounce) box beef pasta skillet meal (such as Hamburger Helper®)
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 pound ground beef
¼ cup bread crumbs
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 ½ teaspoons seasoned salt
½ teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Preheat an oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Pour the hot water into a 3 quart casserole dish. Stir the softened cream cheese into the water. Mix in the sauce mix from the packaged dinner and the nutmeg. Add the uncooked noodles and stir until well combined. Cover and bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes.
