MEATBALL SUB SANDWICH

Meatball Sub Sandwich image

Meatball subs in soggy, falling-apart buns are just the worst. That's why we recommend toasting our Tailgaters Brat Buns for this recipe. The heftier, toasty bread will stand up to all that meaty, marinara, mozzarella goodness.

  • Make sure your meatballs are cooked all the way through. Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature has reached 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Use a good quality bread that will hold up to the weight of the meatballs and sauce. A crusty Italian bread or a hoagie roll are both good choices.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different toppings. Some popular choices include cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and peppers.
  • Serve your meatball sub sandwich with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.

Conclusion:

The meatball sub sandwich is a classic Italian-American sandwich that is enjoyed by people of all ages. It is a simple sandwich to make, but it can be a bit time-consuming if you are making your own meatballs. However, the results are worth it. A meatball sub sandwich is a delicious and satisfying meal that is perfect for a quick lunch or dinner.
