MILLIONAIRE'S PIE

Millionaire's Pie image

This luscious, silky pie calls for a baked pie shell, and the flaky contrast with the gooey filling is really good. But if you're running short on time, you can substitute a graham cracker crust to eliminate that step. Do remember to chill the pineapple though. Simply put the can in the refrigerator as soon as you bring it home from the grocery store. Taken from the "From Storebought to Homemade" cookbook. Note: cooking time is refrigeration time.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe bananas. The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful your pie will be.
  • Use a food processor or blender to get a smooth filling. This will help to prevent lumps in your pie.
  • Don't overmix the crust. Overmixing will make the crust tough.
  • Bake the pie until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set. This will take about 35-40 minutes.
  • Let the pie cool completely before serving. This will help the filling to set and the flavors to meld.

Conclusion:

Millionaire pie is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its creamy filling, chocolate ganache topping, and graham cracker crust, this pie is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
