6 unpeeled hard-cooked eggs, mashed
1 (4.5 ounce) jar baby food, fruit and vegetable mix
1 large carrot, grated
1 apple, grated
¼ cup rolled oats
1/4 cup fruit pellets for cockatiels (from pet store)
2 tablespoons bird seed mix
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ cup apple juice, or as needed

Steps:

  • Mix eggs with their shells, baby food, carrot, apple, oats, fruit pellets, bird seed mix, and cinnamon in a large bowl until combined. Add apple juice as needed to make a thick paste.
  • Shape egg mixture into 24 individual balls and place on a baking sheet. Freeze for 1 hour, transfer to zip-top plastic bags, and return to the freezer.
  • Defrost balls in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours before feeding.

2 cups milk
