- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Place the raisins and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes. Drain the raisins, reserving 1/2 cup of liquid. Set both aside.
- Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream the butter with the cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and vanilla. Gradually add the sugar, beating until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

- Heat oven to 400° F. In medium bowl, beat milk, oil and egg with fork. Stir in flour, sugar, baking powder and salt just until moistened. Stir in 1/2 cup of the baking chips and 1/2 cup of the almonds.
