Helpful Cooking Advice

  • Prep in advance: Prepping before getting started will make the actual cooking process go by much faster.
  • Warm up your gluten-free flours: Warming up gluten-free flours improves their texture and makes them easier to work with.
  • Use a stand mixer: A stand mixer is a useful tool when making multigrain cinnamon roll batter. It will help you achieve a smooth, cohesive texture.
  • Avoid over-kneading the multigrain cinnamon roll batter: Over-kneading the batter will make it tough and difficult to work with. Knead it just enough until it becomes smooth and pliable.
  • Use room-temperature butter: Room-temperature butter is easier to work with and will result in a smoother, more spreadable mixture for the cinnamon roll buns.
  • Generously grease your pans: This will prevent the cinnamon roll buns from sticking and tearing when removed from the pan.
  • Bake the cinnamon roll buns at a high temperature: This will help create a crispy, caramelised crust on the outsides of the buns while keeping them fluffy and moist on the insides.
  • Let the cinnamon roll buns fully cool before icing them: This will prevent the icing from melting and becoming too runny.

Conclusion

These multigrain cinnamon roll buns are a great way to welcome loved ones into your home, or an excellent way to treat coworkers in the office. They are perfect for breakfast or brunch on the go or as a special dessert treat after a meal. Don't forget to experiment with other spices and flavors in this cinnamon roll bun recipe. For instance, you could add raisins, cranberries, walnuts, or pecans to the cinnamon roll bun's interior before you bake them. You can also spice the cream cheese icing or vanilla icing with nutmeg, pumpkin pie spice, or orange zest to add more festive flavors.
