Tips:

  • Use fresh cranberries. Fresh cranberries have a tart and juicy flavor that is perfect for this tart. If you can't find fresh cranberries, you can use frozen cranberries, but thaw them completely before using.
  • Don't overcook the cranberries. Overcooked cranberries will be soft and mushy. Cook them just until they start to burst, about 5 minutes.
  • Use a good quality pie crust. A good quality pie crust will make all the difference in the final product. You can use a store-bought pie crust or make your own.
  • Blind bake the pie crust. Blind baking the pie crust will help to prevent it from becoming soggy. To blind bake the pie crust, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line the pie crust with parchment paper and fill it with pie weights or dried beans. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove the parchment paper and pie weights and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Let the tart cool completely before slicing. This will help to prevent the tart from falling apart.
