INSTANT BLENDER STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM

Instant Blender Strawberry Ice Cream image

The hardest thing about this is waiting for it to freeze, this also works using other fruit such a blueberries, peaches etc but the fruit must be frozen when added to the blender, thaw just slightly and enough to chop the whole berries, cooking time is freezer time, use sweetened berries for this --- this may also be done in a food process with good results

CHEF JOHN'S STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM

Chef John's Strawberry Ice Cream image

Many people consider this type of strawberry ice cream recipe a 'hack' or a 'cheat' because we're skipping the more time-consuming and sometimes temperamental egg-custard step; but even if I didn't want to save time I'd still prefer this method. To be clear, I'm only speaking about this specific flavor of ice cream. For deep, dark chocolate, or butter pecan, I'll take the classic French-style every time. But, for sweet, juicy strawberries, I'm not a big fan of the egginess you get with the traditional method.

Tips:

  • Use frozen strawberries: Frozen strawberries will help to create a creamier ice cream. If you don't have frozen strawberries, you can use fresh strawberries and freeze them for at least 2 hours before using.
  • Add sugar to taste: The amount of sugar you add will depend on how sweet you like your ice cream. Start with 1/2 cup of sugar and add more to taste.
  • Use a high-powered blender: A high-powered blender will help to create a smooth and creamy ice cream. If you don't have a high-powered blender, you can use a regular blender, but you may need to blend the ice cream for longer.
  • Freeze the ice cream for at least 4 hours: This will allow the ice cream to firm up and develop its flavor.
  • Serve the ice cream immediately: Ninja strawberry ice cream is best served immediately after it is made. However, you can store it in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.

Ninja strawberry ice cream is a delicious and refreshing treat that is perfect for a hot summer day. It is easy to make and can be customized to your liking.
