Tips:

  • Choose the right lettuce. Bibb, Boston, or butter lettuce are all good options for lettuce wraps. They're sturdy enough to hold the filling without getting soggy.
  • Prep your lettuce leaves ahead of time. Wash and dry the lettuce leaves thoroughly, then pat them dry with a paper towel. This will help prevent the wraps from getting watery.
  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients. The better the ingredients, the better the wraps will taste. Look for fresh, crisp vegetables, tender chicken, and flavorful dressing.
  • Don't overfill the wraps. You want to be able to fold the lettuce leaves closed without them breaking. Start with a small amount of filling and add more if needed.
  • Serve the wraps immediately. Lettuce wraps are best enjoyed when they're fresh. If you're making them ahead of time, store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours.
