I know this sounds bizarre. I balked at it when my best friend's mom said she was making it, but it is delicious---especially for those days when you are craving a whole lot of carbs. This is the only thing she likes to cook!

Categories     Breakfast

Time 8m

Yield 1-3 burritos, 1-3 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 cups water
1 (3 ounce) package ramen noodles, your favorite flavor (I prefer chicken)
1 egg
1/4 cup shredded cheese
hot sauce
flour tortilla

Steps:

  • Boil 2 cups of water. Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, beat egg.
  • Add ramen noodles to boiling water. Slowly pour in beaten egg. Stir and cook for 3 minutes.
  • Drain all but about 1 tablespoon water, Stir in seasoning packet, cheese, and desired amount of hot sauce.
  • Wrap ramen mixture in a warm flour tortilla and enjoy!

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher your ingredients, the better your noodle burritos will taste. This means using fresh vegetables, herbs, and meat.
  • Cook your noodles al dente: Al dente means "to the tooth" in Italian. It refers to the texture of pasta that is cooked through but still has a slight bite to it. This will help your noodles hold their shape in the burrito.
  • Use a variety of fillings: The possibilities are endless when it comes to fillings for noodle burritos. Some popular options include chicken, beef, pork, tofu, vegetables, and cheese.
  • Don't overfill your burritos: It's important to not overfill your burritos, or they will be difficult to wrap and eat. Aim for about 1/2 cup of filling per burrito.
  • Use a good quality tortilla: The tortilla is the foundation of your noodle burrito, so it's important to use a good quality one. Look for tortillas that are soft and pliable, and that have a good flavor.
  • Wrap your burritos tightly: Once you've filled your burritos, wrap them tightly in aluminum foil or plastic wrap. This will help keep them warm and prevent them from falling apart.

Conclusion:

Noodle burritos are a delicious and versatile dish that can be made with a variety of ingredients. They're perfect for a quick and easy meal, or for a fun and festive party appetizer. With a little creativity, you can create noodle burritos that everyone will love. So get cooking and enjoy!
