NOT SO SLOPPY HOT DOGS
This is a take off of sloppy joes. Not sure about the servings as I only cook for the 2 of us. Any extra I use on hamburger buns or it goes well on hash browns or egg with breakfast. I really find this makes a great hot dog! Enjoy.

Steps:
- Heat oil in 10-inch skillet over medium heat. Cook bell pepper and onion in oil, stirring occasionally, until onion is tender.
- Stir in barbecue sauce, tomato sauce and hot dogs. Simmer uncovered 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Fill buns with hot dog mixture.
Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients. This means using fresh, flavorful hot dogs, buns, and toppings. Avoid using processed meats, stale buns, or bland toppings, as these will not produce a satisfying sloppy hot dog.
- Cook the hot dogs properly. The best way to cook hot dogs is to grill them. This gives them a nice smoky flavor and prevents them from becoming dry. If you don't have a grill, you can also cook hot dogs in a pan over medium heat.
- Toast the buns. Toasting the buns will help them hold up better against the sloppy toppings. You can toast the buns in a toaster, oven, or pan.
- Add plenty of toppings. The toppings are what make a sloppy hot dog so delicious. Be generous with the chili, cheese, onions, and sauerkraut. You can also add other toppings, such as bacon, jalapeños, or pickles.
- Serve the sloppy hot dogs immediately. Sloppy hot dogs are best when they are served hot and fresh. If you let them sit for too long, the toppings will start to get soggy and the hot dogs will lose their flavor.
Conclusion:
Sloppy hot dogs are a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for a summer cookout or a casual party. By following these tips, you can make the best sloppy hot dogs that your friends and family will love. So fire up the grill and get ready to enjoy a classic American dish!
