ONE POT GOULASH

One Pot Goulash image

This is one of those recipes that is usually better the next day after the flavors all meld together. Very quick and easy to make your own by adding or subtracting ingredients. My husband doesn't like really hot food so i use original RoTel tomatoes when he's eating this - if it's just me I go with the hot or extra hot. Great with hot rolls and a vegetable.

1/2 cup onion, diced
1 1/2 lbs hamburger

2 (10 ounce) cans Rotel Tomatoes

  • Return pot to stove heat oil and add green pepper and onion - saute until tender.
  • Add hamburger, salt, pepper and chili powder to onions/pepper mixture and cook until no longer pink.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: Fresh, flavorful ingredients will make a big difference in the taste of your goulash. Use good-quality beef, vegetables, and spices.
  • Brown the beef in batches: This will help to develop flavor and prevent the beef from overcrowding the pot and stewing instead of browning.
  • Use a good-quality paprika: Paprika is the key spice in goulash, so it's important to use a good-quality variety. Look for Hungarian paprika, which has a deep red color and a slightly smoky flavor.
  • Don't be afraid to adjust the recipe to your taste: Goulash is a versatile dish, so feel free to add or omit ingredients to suit your preferences. For example, you could add more vegetables, different spices, or a dollop of sour cream.
  • Serve goulash with your favorite sides: Goulash is traditionally served with egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or bread. You could also serve it with rice or roasted vegetables.

Conclusion:

One-pot goulash is a delicious, hearty, and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for a weeknight dinner.
