ORANGE AND SOY CHICKEN

Orange and Soy Chicken image

Awesome, and yes it supposed to be THAT brown! Please plan ahead, needs to marinate several hours or overnight. (Cook time does NOT reflect marinating) Serving size is estimated due to the type of chicken pieces you choose, I used split chicken breasts.

Provided by lets.eat

Categories     Chicken Breast

Time 1h5m

Yield 4-6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 3

3 lbs chicken pieces
3/4 cup orange soda
1/2 cup soy sauce

Steps:

  • In a resealable ziploc storage or freezer bag add chicken, orange soda and soy sauce, blend well. Place in refrigerator and turn occasionally. Marinate several hours or overnight. When ready to bake, pour chicken and sauce in a 13x9x2 baking pan. Bake 350' 1 1/2 hours.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh oranges, soy sauce, and honey will give your chicken the best flavor.
  • Don't overcook the chicken: Chicken breasts are thin and cook quickly. Overcooking will make them dry and tough.
  • Use a good quality honey: A good quality honey will have a rich flavor and won't be too sweet.
  • Don't be afraid to adjust the recipe to your liking: If you like your chicken more spicy, add some red pepper flakes. If you like it sweeter, add more honey.
  • Serve the chicken with your favorite sides: Rice, noodles, or roasted vegetables are all great options.

Conclusion:

This orange honey and soy chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The chicken is tender and juicy, and the sauce is flavorful and tangy. Serve it with your favorite sides and enjoy!
