Tips:
- Use fresh oranges or lemons. Fresh citrus fruits provide the best flavor for your bread. If you don't have fresh oranges or lemons on hand, you can use bottled or frozen juice, but the flavor will be less pronounced.
- Zest the citrus fruits before juicing them. The zest contains a lot of flavor, so it's important to get as much of it as possible. Use a microplane or a fine grater to zest the oranges or lemons.
- Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the bread tough, so mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined.
- Let the bread cool completely before slicing it. This will help to prevent the bread from crumbling.
Conclusion:
Orange or lemon poppy seed bread is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that's perfect for any occasion. With its moist crumb, zesty citrus flavor, and crunchy poppy seeds, this bread is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a sweet and satisfying snack, give orange or lemon poppy seed bread a try.
