Number Of Ingredients 12

1/2 cup orange juice (preferably fresh)
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tablespoon grated orange zest
1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme (or 1/2 tsp dried thyme)

  • Add a little bit of honey or maple syrup to the marinade to help caramelize the chicken or tofu.
  • If you're using chicken, be sure to pound it thin before marinating. This will help it cook more evenly.
  • Marinate the chicken or tofu for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than 24 hours.
  • When you're ready to cook the chicken or tofu, be sure to drain the marinade. This will prevent the marinade from burning.
