Dip chicken in buttermilk mixture; dredge in flour mixture. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken to pan; cook 4 minutes on each side or until lightly browned. Place chicken on prepared baking sheet; lightly coat chicken with cooking spray. Bake at 425° for 30 minutes or until chicken is done.

Tips:

  • Use a light coating of flour: Too much flour will make the chicken greasy and heavy.
  • Use a nonstick cooking spray: This will help the chicken to crisp up without sticking to the pan.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit: This will help the chicken to cook evenly.
  • Bake the chicken for 20-25 minutes, or until it is cooked through: The chicken should be golden brown and crispy on the outside, and cooked through and juicy on the inside.
  • Serve the chicken with your favorite sides: Some popular sides for oven-fried chicken include mashed potatoes, green beans, and coleslaw.
