These have received so many mixed reviews that I thought maybe I should mention that I deep fry them in a Presto Fry Daddy and not very many at a time. I never said they were easy...and I get better each time I do it. Thanks for giving them so much attention!

Tips:

  • Use fresh shrimp: Fresh shrimp is always best for this recipe. If you're using frozen shrimp, be sure to thaw it completely before cooking.
  • Choose the right size shrimp: Medium or large shrimp work best for this recipe. Smaller shrimp will cook too quickly and become tough.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: Make sure there is enough space between the shrimp so that they can cook evenly.
  • Cook the shrimp on high heat: High heat will help the shrimp to cook quickly and evenly. Don't reduce the heat while the shrimp is cooking.
  • Don't overcook the shrimp: Shrimp cooks very quickly, so it's important to keep an eye on it to prevent overcooking. Overcooked shrimp will become tough and rubbery.
  • Season the shrimp to taste: You can season the shrimp with any of your favorite seasonings. Some popular options include salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  • Serve the shrimp immediately: Serve the shrimp immediately after cooking to enjoy it at its best.
