GARLIC OYSTER CRACKERS

Garlic Oyster Crackers image

I saw the other recipes here for oyster crackers, but I didn't have parmesan, and we don't like dill - so this is how I made them, and they are yummy!

Provided by meganjeter

Categories     < 15 Mins

Time 11m

Yield 60 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 (12 ounce) bag oyster crackers
1/2 cup margarine, melted
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon dried parsley
2 -3 tablespoons kosher salt

Steps:

  • Carefully open the bag of oyster crackers and add the melted butter, garlic, parsley, and salt right to the bag, fold up and shake to coat all the crackers.
  • Place crackers on your baking stone or cookie sheet, and broil the crackers for 5-10 minutes, or to your liking!
  • Enjoy!

Tips:

  • Use fresh oysters. Fresh oysters have a briny, sweet flavor that is perfect for this recipe. If you can't find fresh oysters, you can use frozen oysters, but be sure to thaw them completely before using.
  • Don't overcook the oysters. Oysters are very delicate and can easily be overcooked. Cook them just until they are opaque and tender, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Use a good quality Parmesan cheese. The Parmesan cheese is what gives these crackers their signature flavor, so be sure to use a good quality cheese that is freshly grated.
  • Season the crackers to taste. The amount of salt and pepper you add to the crackers is a matter of personal preference. Taste the crackers as you go and adjust the seasoning until they are to your liking.
  • Serve the crackers warm. These crackers are best served warm, so eat them right out of the oven or toaster.

Conclusion:

Parmesan oyster crackers are a delicious and easy-to-make snack or appetizer. They are perfect for parties or potlucks, and they can also be enjoyed as a simple snack at home. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make these crackers that are sure to please everyone. So next time you're looking for a tasty treat, give Parmesan oyster crackers a try!
