This is a repeat status recipe. I fix them mostly for my grown son's parties now, and they are the first item to go. Especially in demand during the Holiday Season. An old Southern Living recipe.

Number Of Ingredients 18

1 1/2 lbs ground pork
1 1/4 lbs ground round
2 cups crushed corn flakes cereal
1 cup milk
2 eggs, beaten
3 tablespoons prepared horseradish
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained

Steps:

  • Meatballs:.
  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Combine all ingredients in a large bowel, mixing well. Shape mixture into 1-inch meatballs. Place on a rack in a shallow baking pan. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until brown.
  • Sauce:.
  • Mix together all ingredients except pineapple in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium and simmer 10 minutes. Stir in pineapple. Spoon meatballs into sauce, stirring until well cooked. Continue to cook 19 to 15 minutes or until heated through. Serve hot.
  • Should yield 75 meatballs.

1 small watermelon (sliced to desired shapes and sizes)
3 large oranges, seedless (sliced)
1 - 2 large pineapple
2 bunch grapes, seedless
1 qt strawberries
VEGETABLE TRAYS
1 pkg baby carrots
1 medium broccoli, bunch, (trim to florets)
1 medium head cauliflower (trim to florets)
MEAT AND CHEESE TRAYS
1-2 lb favorite luncheon sausage(s)
1/2 lb each: swiss, hot pepper, sharp cheddar, colby jack cheeses

Steps:

  • 1. Rinse and pat dry all fruits and vegetables. Cut the top off of pineapple, set on platter for garnish. Slice the oranges. Arrange your fruits as desired.
  • 2. Place Carrots, Broccoli and Cauliflower florets in a serving dish. *** You can use other vegetables as well.
  • 3. Slice meat and cheese into desired shapes and arrange on a plate or platter.
