Tips:

- **Choose lean venison steaks:** The leaner the venison, the better the bake will turn out. If you're using venison that is not lean, you can trim off any excess fat before cooking. - **Marinate the venison:** Marinating the venison will help to tenderize it and infuse it with flavor. You can use a simple marinade made with olive oil, garlic, and herbs, or you can get creative and try a more elaborate marinade. - **Cook the venison properly:** Venison is a lean meat, so it's important to cook it properly to avoid drying it out. The best way to cook venison is to sear it quickly over high heat and then finish cooking it in a low oven. - **Use a variety of vegetables:** The vegetables in this bake add flavor, texture, and nutrients. You can use any vegetables that you like, but some good options include onions, peppers, mushrooms, and zucchini. - **Season the bake well:** Don't be afraid to season the bake generously with salt and pepper. You can also add other spices and herbs to taste. - **Serve the bake with a side of crusty bread:** Crusty bread is the perfect accompaniment to this hearty bake. It's great for sopping up all the delicious sauce.
