SIMPLE HOT PASTRAMI AND SWISS SANDWICHES

Simple Hot Pastrami and Swiss Sandwiches image

My wife's favorite sandwich. I'm a pastrami and rye guy, but she loves Italian bread. So this is for Charlotte and anyone who loves simple but flavorful sandwiches. I'm learning that the expensive deli pastrami I use is low in calories (similar to turkey pastrami) and very tasty, but it's not real pastrami. Unless I make it myself, I can't get real pastrami here. Real pastrami is almost 3 times the calories, but much more flavor as it's smoked corned beef. What I use here is Boar's Head pastrami from cap-off top round beef.

3 teaspoons cider vinegar
salt and pepper

  • Cut on an angle and enjoy.

Tips:

  • Choose the best bread: Choose sturdy bread that can hold up to the fillings. Sourdough, rye, or multigrain bread are good options.
  • Slice the meat thinly: Thinly sliced pastrami is easier to eat and will distribute the flavor more evenly throughout the wrap.
  • Use a variety of toppings: Don't be afraid to experiment with different toppings. Classic options include sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing, but you can also try other options like arugula, roasted red peppers, or avocado.
  • Spread the dressing evenly: Make sure to spread the dressing evenly over the bread before adding the toppings. This will help to prevent the wrap from getting soggy.
  • Wrap it tightly: To prevent the wrap from falling apart, wrap it tightly in foil or plastic wrap. You can also use a tortilla warmer to keep the wrap warm until you're ready to eat it.

Conclusion:

Pastrami deli wraps are a delicious and easy lunch or dinner option. With a few simple ingredients, you can make a wrap that is packed with flavor and satisfaction. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give pastrami deli wraps a try. You won't be disappointed.
