Yield 12

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons crunchy peanut butter
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 egg
3 cups bread flour
1 ½ teaspoons active dry yeast

Steps:

  • Place ingredients in bread machine pan in the order suggested by the manufacturer. Select white bread setting. Start.
  • To bake bread in oven: select dough or manual cycle. Once cycle is complete, shape dough and place in a greased loaf pan. Allow to rise in a warm spot until doubled in size. Bake in a preheated 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven for 35 to 45 minutes or until a thermometer inserted in the center of the loaf reads 200 degrees F (95 degrees C).

Tips:

  • Freshly roasted unsalted pumpkin puree: Making fresh puree might seem like a hassle, but it's worth the effort. Fresh puree has a richer flavor and a smoother texture than canned puree. If you don't have time to roast your own, you can use canned pumpkin puree, but make sure it's unsweetened and 100% pumpkin.
  • Creamy peanut butter: Use creamy peanut butter for a smooth and velvety texture. If you only have crunchy peanut butter, you can use it, but be sure to chop the peanuts very finely so they don't overpower the other flavors in the bread.
  • Spices: The spices in this bread (cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger) are essential for giving it that classic fall flavor. If you don't have all of these spices, you can use a pumpkin pie spice blend instead.
  • Baking time: The baking time for this bread will vary depending on the size of your loaf pan. A 9x5 inch loaf pan will take about 60-70 minutes to bake, while an 8x4 inch loaf pan will take about 50-60 minutes. To test if the bread is done, insert a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean, the bread is done.

Conclusion:

This peanut butter pumpkin bread is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that's perfect for fall. With its moist and fluffy texture, rich pumpkin flavor, and subtle peanut butter undertones, this bread is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. Serve it with a cup of coffee or tea for a cozy and comforting snack or breakfast.
