Steps:
- Stir cocoa powder and sugar in a pot.
- Add water and stir.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil two minutes.
- Add milk (I use 1 can canned milk and equal water, plus 1 cup of whole milk). Heat until hot.
- Add vanilla and serve.
Tips:
- Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. A good semisweet or bittersweet chocolate will work well.
- If you don't have milk on hand, you can use water instead. However, milk will give the hot cocoa a richer flavor.
- To make the hot cocoa even more decadent, add a dollop of whipped cream or marshmallows on top.
- For a fun twist, try adding a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg to the hot cocoa. It is a fantastic way to give hot cocoa some extra delicious flavor and aromas.
- You can also experiment with different flavorings, such as vanilla extract, peppermint extract, or even a pinch of chili powder.
Conclusion:
Hershey's hot cocoa is a classic comfort food that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is time-saving, easy-to-prepare, versatile, and customizable. With a few simple ingredients, you can make a delicious cup of hot cocoa that will warm you up on a cold day or satisfy your sweet tooth.
