Tips:

  • Choose the right rice. Long-grain rice, such as basmati or jasmine rice, is best for this recipe. It will cook up light and fluffy, and won't stick together.
  • Don't overcook the rice. Cook the rice according to the package directions, or until it is just tender. Overcooked rice will be mushy and ruin the casserole.
  • Use fresh pineapple. Fresh pineapple has the best flavor and texture. If you can't find fresh pineapple, you can use canned pineapple, but be sure to drain it well before using.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment. This recipe is a great starting point, but you can feel free to add your own favorite ingredients. Some popular additions include cooked chicken, shrimp, or vegetables.

Conclusion:

Pineapple rice casserole is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal or a potluck. It's also a great way to use up leftover rice. With its sweet and savory flavor, this casserole is sure to be a hit with everyone at the table.
