2 (8-ounce) cans tomato sauce
12 ounce egg noodles
8 ounce sour cream

½ teaspoon salt

1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms, drained

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

8 oz. Cream cheese
8 oz. Sour cream
8 oz. Egg noodles
1 ½ C. Cheddar cheese
2 tsp. Minced garlic
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 tsp. Sugar
Salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat on the stove, saute the ground beef until it is completely browned. Drain any extra grease.
  • Add the Italian seasoning and minced garlic to the skillet, and saute for 30 seconds longer.
  • Pour the tomato sauce and sugar into the skillet with the meat, add salt and pepper to taste, and saute for 3-5 minutes longer.

It is called Poor Man's Casserole because almost everyone should have the ingredients in their kitchen! This is a very versatile dish because you can add as little or as much of the ingredients to suit your family.

1 lb hamburger meat
1 small onion, chopped
1 garlic clove
salt and pepper, to taste
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 1/2 cups cooked rice
1 (4 ounce) can corn
1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese

  • Brown the hamburger meat with the onion, garlic, salt and pepper.
