1 cup butter
¾ cup sugar
1 (3 ounce) package fruit flavored Jell-O® mix
1 tablespoon corn syrup
3 tablespoons water

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Grease a 1/4 sheet pan or two 8x12 inch baking dishes. Generously butter a heavy 2 quart saucepan.
  • Distribute popcorn evenly in prepared baking pans. Place in oven to keep warm.
  • In prepared saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, sugar, gelatin, corn syrup and water. Heat to 250 to 265 degrees F (121 to 129 degrees C), or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms a rigid ball.
  • Pour mixture evenly over popcorn and stir until coated. Return popcorn to oven and bake 5 minutes; stir, then bake 5 minutes more.
  • Turn popcorn out onto a large piece of foil. Let rest until cool enough to handle, then form into balls. Or let cool completely and break into clusters. Store in an airtight container, in a cool, dry place.

Vegetable oil for coating pan
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup water
1 1/2 cups pecans
4 cups cooked, unsalted popcorn

Steps:

  • Preheat conventional oven to 350 degrees. Oil a large baking sheet and a large spoon. Set aside.
  • Stir sugar, corn syrup and water together in a 2 1/2-quart souffle dish. Cook, uncovered, at 100 percent power in a high-power microwave oven for 4 minutes. Stir.
  • Cover tightly with microwave plastic wrap. Cook for 31 minutes.
  • While syrup is cooking, place pecans on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, stirring once. Set aside.
  • Remove syrup dish from oven. Prick plastic to release steam. Uncover and let stand for 2 minutes. Use the spoon to carefully stir in popcorn and nuts. Let stand for 5 minutes, turning the popcorn over in the mixture from time to time to make sure that the popcorn and the nuts are well coated.
  • Spoon the mixture out onto the baking sheet. Use the back of the spoon to spread the popcorn mixture into an even layer. Let harden and cool, about 15 minutes.
  • When cool, break into chunks with a wooden mallet or rolling pin. Store in an airtight container.

1 cup lite corn syrup
1 cup granulated sugar
1 (3-ounce) box strawberry jello
2 tablespoons butter
1 bag mini marshmallows
2 ounces butter
1 bag freeze dried strawberries, roughly crushed

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300°F. Line two baking sheets with silicone mats. Pour popped corn into an extra large heat-proof bowl, or two large bowls. In a medium saucepan combine corn syrup, sugar, strawberry jello and butter until it comes to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and pour over popped corn. Stir popcorn until most is evenly covered with jello mixture. Transfer popcorn evenly onto baking sheets. In a medium saucepan melt marshmallows and butter and drizzle over popcorn. Bake popcorn for 10 minutes rotating sheets half-way through. Remove popcorn from oven and immediately sprinkle crushed freeze dried strawberries over popcorn, stir to incorporate. Allow to cool break up into pieces and serve.

11 cups popped popcorn
1/4 cup butter, melted

Steps:

  • Place popped popcorn in a large bowl, lightly buttered.
  • Bring the corn syrup and jello mix to a boil in a saucepan.
  • Boil over medium heat until mixture separates into a hard thread when dropped into very cold water, about 6 to 7 minutes.

1 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup sugar
1 (3 ounce) package Jello gelatin (you can use any , we do it by color and season)
10 cups popped popcorn

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients except popcorn in a heavy sauce pan.
  • Bring to a boil and cook just till jello and sugar are dissolved.
  • Pour over popcorn and mix well and fast.
  • Wet your hands under cold water, shake it off don't dry it and work quickly forming popcorn balls.
  • As you make them , wrap them in squares of wax paper.
  • Re-wet your hands in between forming.
  • The amount you get will depend on how big you make them -- cook time is left blank because it will vary.
