Tips:

  • Choose the right fish: For this recipe, firm-fleshed fish like cod, halibut, or salmon work best. White fish like tilapia or sole can also be used, but they may be more delicate and prone to overcooking.
  • Don't overcook the fish: One of the most common mistakes when cooking fish is overcooking it. Fish should be cooked until it is opaque and flakes easily with a fork, but it should not be dry and tough. A good rule of thumb is to cook fish for 10 minutes per inch of thickness.
  • Use a variety of vegetables: The vegetables in this recipe add flavor, color, and nutrients. Feel free to experiment with different vegetables, such as broccoli, cauliflower, or zucchini.
  • Don't be afraid to season the fish: Salt, pepper, and garlic are all essential seasonings for fish. You can also add other herbs and spices, such as paprika, oregano, or thyme.
  • Serve the fish immediately: Baked fish is best served immediately after it is cooked. This will help to prevent the fish from drying out.
