Tips:

  • Use good quality potatoes: Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes are ideal for this recipe as they are both starchy and will hold their shape well in the dish.
  • Slice the potatoes thinly: This will help them cook evenly and quickly.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: Make sure there is enough space between the potatoes so that they can brown properly.
  • Season the potatoes well: Use a combination of salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.
  • Cook the potatoes until they are golden brown: This will give them a nice crispy texture.
  • Don't overcook the eggs: The eggs should be cooked through, but still have a slightly runny yolk.
  • Serve the potato egg bake immediately: This dish is best enjoyed hot out of the oven.

Conclusion:

This potato egg bake is a simple and delicious breakfast or brunch dish that can be easily customized to your liking. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a hearty and satisfying meal that the whole family will love. Additional tips:
  • Add some chopped bacon or sausage to the potatoes for a more savory flavor.
