### **Potato Casserole: 7 Simple But Effective Cooking Hacks** ### **1. Selecting the Right Potatoes:** - Opt for sturdier, low-starch options like Russet or Yukon Gold for a creamier, less gummy casserole. - Russets are ideal for a fluffy texture, while Yukon Golds impart a buttery richness. ### **2. Slicing Techniques:** - Ensure uniform-thickness slices for even cooking; aim for 1/8-inch thick slices using a sharp, sturdy slicing tool. - Utilize a mandendreline slicer for effortless, consistent slicing. ### **3. Pre-boiling the Potatoes:** - Parboil the sliced spuds for 5-7 minutes to remove starch and expedite the cooking process. - Draining and spreading the parboiled taters on a sheet pan helps release extra水分. ### **4.
