This is a very versatile chutney and can be used in many ways. I love mixing this chutney with butter and spreading it on bread for sandwiches. I also add some to my omelets.

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 cups mint leaves
2 fresh green chile peppers, or to taste
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon white sugar, or more to taste
salt to taste
water, as needed

Steps:

  • Combine the mint leaves, green chile peppers, lime juice, sugar, and salt in a food processor and grind into a fine paste. You might need to add some water to help grind all the leaves. Taste test and adjust amounts of salt and sugar to your liking.

I had searched everywhere for this recipe. The stars aligned one day and I not only found a fabulous house to rent, but a landlord who knew how to make Mint Chutney! This is Roselyns recipe.

1 bunch fresh cilantro
1 ½ cups fresh mint leaves
1 green chile pepper
½ teaspoon salt
1 medium onion, cut into chunks
1 tablespoon tamarind juice or lemon juice
¼ cup water, or as needed

Steps:

  • In a food processor, combine the cilantro, mint leaves, chile pepper, salt, onion and tamarind juice. Process to a fine paste, adding enough water to achieve a thick sauce.
