  • CRUMB TOPPING:
  • Combine 1/2 c brown sugar (packed), 1 T unbleached flour, 1/4 t pumpkin pie spice and 2 T butter or regular margarine in bowl.
  • Mix until crumbly.

Tips:

  • For the best results, use fresh, ripe pumpkin and apples. This will give your muffins a more flavorful and moist texture.
  • If you don't have any canned pumpkin on hand, you can easily make your own. Simply roast a pumpkin until it is tender, then scoop out the flesh and puree it in a food processor.
  • Be sure to measure your flour correctly. Too much flour can make your muffins dry and dense.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can develop the gluten in the flour, which will also make your muffins tough.
  • Fill your muffin cups evenly. This will help ensure that your muffins bake evenly.
  • Bake your muffins until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Overbaking can dry out your muffins.

Conclusion:

These pumpkin apple oat muffins are a delicious and healthy way to start your day. They're packed with nutrients like fiber, vitamins, and minerals, and they're also low in fat and calories.
