½ cup brown sugar
½ cup butter
½ cup all-purpose flour
¾ cup rolled oats
2 eggs
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¾ cup raisins
½ cup flaked coconut
½ cup pitted sour cherries, drained with liquid reserved

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a medium bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of brown sugar, butter, 1/2 cup of flour and oats until crumbly. Press into the bottom of a 9 inch square pan. Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven.

1 cup packed brown sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups quick-cooking oats
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
FILLING:
4 egg yolks
2 cups (16 ounces) sour cream
1-1/2 cups raisins
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Combine the flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture (mixture will be crumbly). , Set aside 2 cups; pat remaining crumbs into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. 1 cup hot water, or as needed
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup butter, softened
¼ cup packed brown sugar
1 cup brown sugar
⅓ cup butter, softened
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon heavy whipping cream
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • Place raisins in a cup; pour in hot water to cover, and set aside to soak, about 5 minutes.

1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 large whole egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
milk
flour, for rolling dough
3 cups boiling water
3 1/2 cups raisins, washed
1 cup granulated sugar
4 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

Steps:

  • Wash raisins.
  • Add to the boiling water on low heat in saucepot.
  • Add remaining filling ingredients, salt, sugar, flour, juice, and cook just until thick.
