Provided by cwyorkiex3

Number Of Ingredients 8

8 chicken breasts, boneless skinless (sliced into strips)
1 cup corn flakes (crushed)
3/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 package (1 ounce) hidden valley dry ranch dressing mix
1 cup milk
1 egg

Steps:

  • Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13×9 inch baking dish. In a shallow dish combine crushed corn flakes, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, black pepper, and dry ranch dressing mix. In a small bowl beat together eggs and milk. Dip each chicken strip into the egg/milk mixture and then roll in the crushed corn flakes/ranch dressing mixture. Repeat until all chicken strips are well coated. Place onto a greased baking sheet and bake uncovered for 30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through (the internal temperature has reached 165 degrees). You can also deep fry these. If deep frying the time will be less.

Tips:

  • To ensure crispy chicken strips, coat them thoroughly in the seasoned flour mixture, then dredge them in the beaten eggs, and finally coat them again in the seasoned flour mixture.
  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken strips in buttermilk or yogurt for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  • If you don't have buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar to 1 cup of regular milk and letting it stand for 5 minutes.
  • Use a deep fryer or a large saucepan filled with oil to fry the chicken strips. The oil should be at least 3 inches deep.
  • Fry the chicken strips in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan and lowering the oil temperature.
  • Cook the chicken strips until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Drain the chicken strips on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  • Serve the chicken strips immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Conclusion:

Ranch chicken strips are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main course. They are perfect for parties, potlucks, or a quick weeknight meal. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of preparation, you can enjoy these crispy, flavorful chicken strips in no time. So next time you're looking for a tasty and satisfying snack or meal, give ranch chicken strips a try!
