Time 17m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 head red leaf lettuce
1/2-1 head bibb lettuce or 1/2-1 head boston lettuce
1 1/2 ounces arugula
1/3 cup toasted pine nuts
3/4 cup grated swiss cheese
4 -5 pieces bacon, cooked and crumbled
3/4 cup fresh raspberry
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup raspberry vinegar
1/4 cup sugar

Steps:

  • Salad: Wash, dry, and gently tear all lettuces into pieces and divide among 4 salad plates. Evenly divide the pine nuts, cheese, bacon, and raspberries between the four plates. Top with raspberry vinaigrette to taste.
  • Vinaigrette: Combine all ingredients in a jar and shake well to combine.

Tips:

  • Choose fresh and crispy lettuce: Use a variety of lettuces, such as romaine, butterhead, or arugula, to add texture and flavor to your salad.
  • Use ripe and sweet raspberries: Fresh raspberries are best, but frozen raspberries can also be used. If using frozen raspberries, thaw them before adding them to the salad.
  • Make a flavorful dressing: The dressing is what really brings the salad together. Use a combination of olive oil, vinegar, honey, and Dijon mustard to make a simple and delicious dressing.
  • Add some crunch: To add some extra crunch to your salad, add some chopped walnuts, almonds, or pecans.
  • Serve immediately: This salad is best served immediately after it is made. The raspberries will start to wilt if the salad sits for too long.

Conclusion:

Raspberry lettuce salad is a light, refreshing, and flavorful salad that is perfect for summer. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste. Whether you like your salad sweet, tangy, or crunchy, there is a raspberry lettuce salad recipe out there for you. So next time you are looking for a healthy and delicious salad, give raspberry lettuce salad a try. You won't be disappointed!
