Steps:
- I used the following: Wilton round cookie-pop tray, cookie-pop sticks, assorted color icing and metallic ties all of which can be found in the cake decorating section of a party store or craft store. Saran type wrap was used to wrap the pops.
- Spray cookie tray lightly with Pam.
- Melt margarine in heavy pan over medium heat.
- Add marshmallows and stir continuously until smooth.
- Add vanilla.
- Add nonpareils and stir.
- Turn heat off but leaving pot on burner add the cereal. and stir until evenly mixed.
- Put some in mold, add stick and put some more on top and with damp hands press lightly.
- Have fun decorating, let dry and over pop with plastic wrap and fasten with ties to secure the wrap. I put them in a basket filled with Styrofoam that I decorated.
CRISPY STAR POPS
These patriotic pops are a hit at our annual Fourth of July get-together. Serve them as an after-picnic dessert. Or slip them into cellophane bags, tie on ribbons and give them as favors. -Colleen Sturma, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Tips:
- Use fresh marshmallows. Stale marshmallows will not melt properly and will make your Rice Krispy Pops difficult to handle.
- Do not overcook the marshmallows. Overcooked marshmallows will become tough and chewy, and will not hold their shape well.
- Be careful when melting the marshmallows. Marshmallows can catch fire if they are overheated, so it is important to melt them slowly and carefully.
- Add the Rice Krispies to the melted marshmallows gradually. This will help to prevent the mixture from becoming too thick and difficult to stir.
- Use a lightly greased spoon to press the Rice Krispie mixture into the molds. This will help to prevent the mixture from sticking to the spoon.
- Let the Rice Krispy Pops cool completely before dipping them in chocolate. This will help to prevent the chocolate from melting.
- Be creative with your toppings. You can use anything from sprinkles to chopped nuts to candy melts to decorate your Rice Krispy Pops.
Conclusion:
Rice Krispy Pops are a fun and easy treat that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are perfect for parties, picnics, or just as a sweet snack. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can make delicious Rice Krispy Pops that everyone will love.
