  • VARIATION: Roast Meat Loaf Ring: Press the meat mixture firmly into an ungreased 5 to 6 cup ring mold.
  • Unmold in the baking pan by rapping mold against the bottom of the larger pan.
  • Brush with the catsup mixture.
  • Bake for about 50 minutes.

  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh herbs, vegetables, and spices will give your meatloaf the best flavor. Avoid using pre-packaged or dried ingredients whenever possible.
  • Don't overmix the meat: Overmixing the meat will make it tough. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.
  • Shape the meatloaf into a loaf: Place the meat mixture in a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf. This will help it cook evenly.
  • Bake the meatloaf at a high temperature: Bake the meatloaf at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. This will help it brown and develop a crust.
  • Let the meatloaf rest before slicing: Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This will help it hold its shape and make it easier to slice.

Meatloaf is a classic comfort food that is easy to make and can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
