Steps:
- Whisk sour cream, dill, onion and mustard in small bowl to blend. Season sauce to taste with salt and pepper. Let stand at room temperature 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly oil baking sheet. Place salmon, skin side down, on prepared sheet. Sprinkle with garlic, salt and pepper; spread with 1/3 cup sauce. Bake salmon until just opaque in center, about 20 minutes. Serve with remaining sauce.
Tips:
- For the best results, use fresh, high-quality salmon fillets. If you don't have fresh salmon, you can use frozen salmon that has been thawed in the refrigerator overnight.
- Make sure to pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels before cooking them. This will help to prevent the salmon from sticking to the pan and will also help to create a crispy skin.
- Don't overcrowd the pan when cooking the salmon. If the pan is too crowded, the salmon will not cook evenly.
- Cook the salmon over medium heat. This will help to prevent the salmon from overcooking and becoming dry.
- Use a timer to ensure that the salmon is cooked to your desired doneness. The cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the salmon fillets.
- Serve the salmon immediately with the Dijon dill sauce. The sauce is best when served fresh.
Conclusion:
Salmon with Dijon dill sauce is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. The salmon is cooked to perfection and the sauce is creamy and flavorful. This dish is sure to please everyone at your table.
