SARAH'S BEST CHILI RECIPE
This recipe has more flavor than I thought it would, and it's meant to be devoured. I've been creating recipes left and right for the crockpot, and found a winner for the chili department. When browning the meat, make sure it's barely brown so it doesn't turn to cardboard tasting when it's done in the crockpot. Drain cans of beans for a thicker chili.

SWEET & SPICY TURKEY CHILI
This is one of my favorite recipes. It was given to me by my aunt and I think of her and smile every time I make it. I recently tweaked the recipe to give it more protein with the addition of red kidney beans, quinoa & wheat berries. The chipotle pepper was my husband's contribution to give it more heat, but still let the intriguing sweetness come through. I love how my kitchen smells when I'm cooking this!

Tips:
- Prep Your Ingredients: Chop the onion, garlic, jalapeno, and bell peppers before starting to cook. This will save you time and ensure that all your ingredients are ready to go.
- Use Fresh Spices and Seasonings: Fresh spices and seasonings will add the most flavor to your chili. If possible, use whole spices and grind them yourself just before using.
- Brown the Ground Turkey: Browning the ground turkey before adding it to the chili will help to develop its flavor and give the chili a richer color.
- Simmer for at Least 30 Minutes: Simmering the chili for at least 30 minutes will allow the flavors to meld and develop. The longer you simmer it, the better it will taste.
