1/2 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1 tablespoon Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
Betty Crocker™ green gel food color
Betty Crocker™ green sugar

Steps:

  • Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack.

Nutrition Facts : ServingSize 1 Serving

Tips:

  • Use room temperature butter: This will help the cookies spread better and create a chewier texture.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing can make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking: Chilling the dough will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies at 350°F: This is the ideal temperature for baking shamrock cookies. Be sure to preheat your oven before baking.
  • Don't overbake the cookies: Overbaking will make the cookies dry and crumbly. Bake just until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.
  • Let the cookies cool before decorating: This will help prevent the icing from melting.

Conclusion:

Shamrock cookies are a delicious and festive treat for St. Patrick's Day. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make these cookies in no time.
