Tips for Making the Best Shrimp de Gallo:

  • Use Fresh, High-Quality Ingredients: The quality of your ingredients will greatly influence the taste of your shrimp de gallo. Use fresh, ripe tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, flavorful cilantro, and sweet red onions.
  • Chop Your Ingredients Uniformly: This will ensure that all the ingredients are evenly distributed and that each bite has a balanced mix of flavors.
  • Don't Overcrowd the Shrimp: When cooking the shrimp, make sure not to overcrowd the pan. This will prevent them from cooking evenly and becoming tough.
  • Use a Good Quality Olive Oil: The olive oil you use will add flavor to your shrimp de gallo, so choose a good quality extra-virgin olive oil.
  • Season to Taste: Be sure to taste your shrimp de gallo before serving and adjust the seasonings as needed. You may want to add more lime juice, salt, or pepper.
