This is a basic recipe so you can add whatever flavours and add-ins that you want: cheese, spices, poppyseeds, etc. Original introdcution>>>"Adds a little more flavor to a plain biscuit. They are very fluffy too! I made these because I was sick of how plain biscuits can taste. I add sour cream to a lot of recipes and it seems to *fix* the flavor of some things, including biscuits."

Tips:

  • Use cold butter and sour cream. This will help the biscuits be light and fluffy.
  • Don't overwork the dough. Overworking the dough will make the biscuits tough.
  • If you don't have buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar to 1 cup of milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes before using.
  • Be careful not to over-bake the biscuits. They should be golden brown on top and cooked through in the center.
  • Serve the biscuits warm with your favorite toppings, such as butter, honey, or jam.

Conclusion:

Sour cream biscuits are a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast or snack. They are perfect for a busy morning or a lazy afternoon. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make a batch of light and fluffy biscuits that the whole family will enjoy.
