6 garlic cloves (minced)
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 cups chicken broth
1 teaspoon white vinegar

salt and pepper, to taste
fresh grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)

  • Add the pasta into the pot of boiling water and cook for 6-8 minutes or until pasta is al dente. Drain, saving 1/2 cup of the pasta water, and set the pasta aside.

Tips:

  • Use fresh shrimp. Frozen shrimp can work in a pinch, but fresh shrimp will give your scampi the best flavor and texture.
  • Don't overcook the shrimp. Shrimp cooks quickly, so be careful not to overcook it. Overcooked shrimp will be tough and rubbery.
  • Use a good quality white wine. The wine you use will make a big difference in the flavor of your scampi. Choose a dry white wine that you enjoy drinking.
  • Don't be afraid to add some heat. If you like spicy food, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper to your scampi.
  • Serve your scampi over pasta or rice. Fettuccine is a classic choice, but you can also use spaghetti, linguine, or even rice.

Conclusion:

Shrimp scampi is a quick and easy meal that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. It is also a great dish to serve for company. With its combination of shrimp, garlic, butter, and white wine, shrimp scampi is sure to please everyone at the table.
